Master of None is Back after a Four Year Wait
Netflix’s Master of None is back after a long wait. This time, the series will focus on the character Denise, a fan favorite played by Lena Waithe.
If you haven’t had the chance to watch Aziz Ansari‘s beautifully written series, Master of None … now’s the time to catch up.
The series focuses on a group of friends coming from all walks of life, giving the viewer a humorous, and sometimes heartbreaking look at what it’s like growing up as a minority.
Season 3, which will be titled Master of None presents ‘Moments in Love‘.
The focus is being shifted from Aziz Ansari’s character, Dev Shah, and moving to Denise, who fans grew to love over the course of the first two seasons. Denise saw her most poignant story highlighted in the season 2 episode ‘Thanksgiving‘ — which Lena Waithe co-wrote and subsequently won an Emmy for.
Master of None has been gone for a few years following accusations of sexual misconduct made against Ansari. Although time has seemed to move on, it seems Aziz is taking a step back while keeping the show going.
In fact, in addition to co-writing all of Season 3’s installments, Ansari is also the director.
Master of None season 3 will drop on May 23 on Netflix.
