The Concert Will Celebrate Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary
Post Malone is celebrating Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary with a special virtual concert. Pokemon Day, and the concert are on February 27, 2021.
Believe it or not, Pokemon is going to be be 25 years old, and they’re going all out for the big event!
Singer Post Malone, who is 25 years old as well, appeared in a short teaser for the virtual concert, transforming into an animated version of himself.
Billboard announced the concert, a partnership between Universal Music Group and The Pokemon Company. Post tells Billboard he’s been a fan of the series all his life.
The celebration is kicking off the event with the weeklong Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto. The tour starts February 20 and will focus on the series’ very first region — Kanto.
The original 150 Pokemon are going to have the spotlight during the week. Players will be able to find shiny versions of all of them. Good luck finding all of them!
On top of the tour, players will get a code they can use to receive a special edition Pikachu for their Pokemon Sword/Shield video games! The exclusive code will be provided on February 25th.
The concert is set to be held at 7PM EST on February 27. Fans can watch a curated batch of Pokemon episodes for free leading up to the event.

The concert will be streaming on the official Pokemon YouTube Channel, Twitch and the official 25th Anniversary website.
