Darkseid, the Speed Force and Cyborg highlighted in New Snyder Cut Trailer
The first teaser trailer for HBO Max‘s Justice League Snyder Cut has finally been released, giving us our first close up of Darkseid.
The 2020 DC Fandome event has dropped several big name titles coming very soon. We’ve seen trailers for Wonder Woman 1984, Gotham Knights and even a glimpse of James Gunn‘s Suicide Squad. But none compare to the most talked about DC title to come — Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
We now know the Snyder Cut will be a 4-part series that follows the director’s intended direction of the film.
Fans are even given a close up look at the DC Universe’s big bad, Darkseid, in the opening shot of the trailer. If we’re being honest, the CGI needs a little work, but hey — it’s still early!
Zack Snyder trolled haters by using Leonard Cohen’s rendition of Hallelujah to underscore the teaser. Viewers of Snyder’s Watchmen movie were extremely critical of his use of the same song in that film. We appreciate the pettiness with this one.
We’re not complaining! As messy as the DC movies have been, we’ve started to come around on the intentions of the narrative, as sloppy as they’ve been executed.
Snyder hosted an online screening of Batman v Superman where he detailed where he wanted the story to go and heating up the #ReleasetheSnyderCut debate.
The film will debut exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.
What do you think of the trailer? Is it too late for redemption or will Snyder finally see his day in the sun?
