Believe it or not, in the year 2020 there is one last Blockbuster video location still in business. Ever since streaming platforms took command of the industry, shops like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video have long since shuttered their doors.
However, the Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon has become something of a legend and has managed to stay in business!
We all know the power of nostalgia knows no bounds, but it very rarely comes in handy. If it weren’t for people longing for the days of video rentals, then the Bend, OR location wouldn’t be thriving!
Sandi Harding, manager of the location, says the listing is a cool way to honor the store’s 20th anniversary.
Harding has done an amazing job at keeping the store relevant in recent years. In fact, customer’s from all around the country to shop at the world’s last Blockbuster! Although it’s a novelty, it’s still a staple in the town of Bend.
If you’re in the market for a quirky stay, the Airbnb will only be available for 3 nights.
Reservations are available starting August 17, but you can only book for one night at a time — September 18, 19 or 20.
