Binge-Watch These Amazing Shows on HBO Max!
HBO Max is one of the best streaming services to come out recently. It has a huge arsenal of movies and TV shows and some incredible original content. Here are our picks for the best shows you can binge right now!
Curb Your Enthusiasm
If you like Seinfeld, you’ll love Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry David, creator of Seinfeld, stars as … himself! The inspiration behind George Costanza is even more grumpy and easily annoyed in real life.
Curb takes incredibly relatable everyday situations and make entire episodes about them in hilarious fashion. The best part about is each episode has a minimal script and is mostly improvised. All nine seasons are available to stream right now.
Veep
Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars as Selina Meyer, the Vice President of the United States, the Veep. After a failed presidential run, Meyer accepts the position of second in command, but she only wants one thing — to be taken serious.
Veep hilariously depicts the ups and downs of life as a politician and what it takes to work for one. Selina is mean, demanding and hilariously witty in this seven season series.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
FINALLY, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is available to stream after years of waiting. This classic 90s series has been on everyone’s radar at some point.
Will Smith stars as a fictional version of himself as he gets used to life in the posh neighborhood of Bel-Air, Los Angeles. He’s joined by other iconic characters such as his cousin Carlton, butler Geoffrey and the lovable Uncle Phil.
It’s also scientifically impossible not to sing along with the theme song every time you hear it.
Watchmen
HBO‘s Watchmen series is a direct sequel to the iconic graphic novel. It takes place 30 years after the original story, but all is not well. There’s more unrest in the world than ever and something mysterious is brewing.
Watchmen will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final minutes of the final episode. It’s almost eerie how relevant the events of the show are to what’s going on in our world right now. You’ll see what I mean …
South Park
South Park is the longest running series on this list by far! Matt Stone and Trey Parker‘s ruthless cartoon takes shots at anyone and everyone. They have a knack for quickly whipping up episodes based on current trends and pissing a lot of people off along the way.
Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty is the most clever and witty animated series in recent memory. So far there have only been 4 seasons of this hysterical cartoon, but there are plenty more to come. See what the fuss is about and binge watch from the very beginning!
Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley stars Thomas Middleditch as a web developer set on creating the next big app. Set in California’s Silicon Valley, the crew navigates starting a business and avoiding fights with the big dogs in town. This show is extremely popular among those who work in the tech industry!
The OC
If you’re a child of the early 2000s then you were obsessed with The OC. There’s drama, death and rich kids being douchebags. It’s pretty much what everyone outside of Orange County thinks living there is like!
This one also has an iconic opening song!
Entourage
Entourage is made fun of for being every douchebag’s favorite show … but it’s a guilty pleasure.
Join this group of friends as they navigate life in Hollywood. Oh, and speaking of friends …
Friends
Love it or hate it, there’s a reason Friends is one of the biggest TV shows of all time. Six friends — 3 guys, 3 girls — living it up in New York City. It’s funny, (sometimes) relatable and will keep you occupied for a very long time to come.
Just ignore the fact that no one in their 20s is living the life these friends are living in the show. It’s just not realistic.
