Sony Announces Plans To Make A Live-Action Movie Based On The Popular Anime
‘One Punch Man‘ is one of the coolest, funnest and goofiest anime series in recent times. With only two seasons under its belt, Sony is now looking into bringing it to the big screen! Even cooler, the film would be live-action. Before we get into who we think should play the hero, you might be wondering …
Who is One Punch Man?
Saitama is plain-looking, mild-mannered superhero with one problem — he can’t find a worthy opponent. Every time he goes up agains a villain, he defeats them simply … with one punch.
In a world full of colorful, eccentric and complicated heroes, Saitama stands apart. He’s boring, doesn’t have a cool costume and isn’t incredibly jacked. Yet, he remains the top of the pack when it comes to those capable of saving the world from seemingly unstoppable forces.
Who Should Play The Live-Action Version?

When it comes to the title role, only one actor came to mind — Anthony Carrigan.
You may recognize Carrigan from the hit HBO series, Barry, where he plays NoHo Hank. Hank is a Russian gangster with a friendly disposition and hilarious one-liners.
Anthony Carrigan is the perfect actor to portray Saitama based on the look. The actor suffers from alopecia, a disease that causes people to lose all the hair on their body. If you’re familiar with One Punch Man, you’ll know this is exactly what happens to Saitama once he gains his super power!
It’s the only logical choice. There have been fan castings for The Rock … but nah. He’s way too buff.
Who do you think would be the perfect actor to portray Saitama in the live-action One Punch Man movie?
