Baby Yoda, Tokyo and Ramy, What More Could You Want?
Run out of things to stream? Don’t worry because we have you covered! Here are some of the most interesting shows to stream right now. From Disney+‘s Mandalorian to a disturbing Netflix docuseries, you’ll have hours of content to keep you busy.
This is a predictable pick, but also a no-brainer at this point. If you’re not watching Disney+’s Mandalorian, you’re missing out!
Baby Yoda aside, Mandalorian is action-packed, suspenseful and full of heart. It takes you on an adventure through the world of Star Wars and focuses on the stories happening outside of the main saga.
Disney better be working on a video game based on the series because there’s so much that can be done! I don’t know about you guys, but I definitely want to be a bounty hunter now. But for both cases, a guy can dream~*.
All criticism aside (and I have plenty), ‘You’ Season 2 is worth watching. Just like the first season, it’ll have you glued to the screen wondering what could possibly happen next.
If you’re new to the series, it’s a lot like Dexter. A creepy stalker becomes obsessed with a girl and a lot of weird stuff happens. But … he’s also … good? Yeah, it’s a moral dilemma but whatever.
Streaming now on Netflix.
Don’t F*ck With Cats
Netflix’s Don’t F*ck With Cats is easily the most fascinating docu-series we’ve seen in a while. What starts off as a story about a crew of online sleuths trying to take down an animal abuser, turns into a suspenseful manhunt for a deranged serial killer.
DFWC is an eye-opening look at how you can get caught red-handed for anything by the cyber-trail you leave behind on the internet. It’s truly fascinating. The only question we had after it was over was,
“…who did the other pair of hands belong to?”
Warning: This one is not for the faint of heart …
Terrace House: Tokyo
Terrace House is Japan’s answer to MTV’s The Real World. A group of young adults move into a swanky pad in Tokyo and just … live their lives.
Unlike the drama-filled Real World, Terrace House’s residents live peaceful and oddly satisfying lives together. Sure, there’s some drama, but you’re more focused on their individual goals and aspiration rather than any potential romance. Some past houseguests go on to do really cool things in life!
There are multiple seasons of Terrace House available on Netflix, each one taking place in a different city around the world, but we’re currently binging TH: Tokyo. This season is spanning from Summer 2019 through Summer 2020, just in time for the Olympics. You can stream Terrace House exclusively on Netflix.
Hulu’s Ramy has been on everyone’s radar after star Ramy Youseff won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. The show follows Ramy Hassan, a fictional version of Youseff, a young muslim man living in New Jersey. We watch as Ramy does his best to be a good muslim while fighting the temptation to just live like a normal millennial — partying, drinking and living a typical life.
Ramy is funny, deep and gives the audience an insightful look into the lives of muslims in America. It reminds us a lot of Aziz Ansari’s Master of None on Netflix, a past pick of ours.
