“I’ll Be Sonic, You Be Tails!”
Retro-gamers, it’s almost time! The first official SEGA Genesis Mini console is coming around the corner. There may be a few other mini SEGAs on the market, but this will be the first official product and hopefully it’s better than those flawed third-party minis.
The SEGA Genesis Mini is set to release September 19, 2019 and will be priced at $79.99. Pre-orders are currently available through most major stores including Wal-Mart, Target and Best Buy. It’s currently a best seller on Amazon, and has been since it was announced on June 4th.

As SEGA puts it, the Genesis Mini “delivers quality as only a 1st party product can.” If you remember, the Playstation Classic was extremely disappointing and has had its price slashed several times since release. SEGA learned from the mistake of their peer and made sure to address some things that Playstation overlooked.
The Genesis Mini comes with a power adapter (it’s common sense, Sony…), 2 wired controllers, HDMI Cable and USB Power Adapter.
Noteworthy titles include Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2, Street Fighter II, Castlevania: Bloodlines , but we’re most excited for ToeJam & Earl! Check out the full list of games below.
