We’re all about desk setups and how you can make yours look cooler. We’re also fans of Amazon’s super low prices, so we’re compiling a list of the coolest accessories to help you with your desk setup.
Multi-USB Dock

This inexpensive multi-USB Dock by Noot is the perfect minimal accessory that you MUST have for your desk setup. We all have multiple devices that we always need to charge, so it’s nice to not have to decide which one to charge first. Plus, this USB Dock features a fast-charging USB port for a charge that’s 4x faster than regular chargers. It’s also an Amazon’s Choice Product!
Phone/Tablet Mount

No explanation needed here. Sometimes at the office, it’s just nicer to have your screens all facing the same direction. That way, you’ll see immediately when you have a notification on your phone or tablet. Honsky offers the most inexpensive and quality one on Amazon so it’s worth the few bucks. But let’s be honest- we’re just going to use it to watch movies at work.
Monitor Riser

For some reason, it’s incredibly difficult to find a plain and simple monitor riser on the internet. They are always offered with some strange design that doesn’t fit my basic aesthetic but I managed to find this one after scrolling through Amazon. It’s simple, saves space and is another Amazon’s Choice Product. It’s also really affordable compared to the alternatives.
Laptop Vertical Dock

A lot of us use a laptop and a desktop for work or school. Personally, I switch between the two when at home and the office and sometimes I use a monitor to display my MacBook desktop, and since I’m not a big-time CEO, I have limited desk space. This laptop stand is a lifesaver in those situations. I just run my HDMI from my Mac to my monitor, close it and dock it, leaving enough room to get some work done on a larger screen rather than a small laptop. Like the last entry, these are hard to find in an inexpensive and simple option. This one is also adjustable to fit the thickness of your laptop firmly.
Weird Nose-Shaped Glasses Holder

No explanation needed. This is just fun and quirky.
Foot Rest

Anyone works a 9-5 job sitting at a desk doing boring tasks will agree with me when I say that sitting for an entire 8 hours will leave you restless. If you’re anything like me then you probably have trouble finding that perfect position to sit. I learned that keeping your feet propped up on something is incredibly helpful and super comfortable. It’s also good for your posture! This Amazon Basics footrest is as simple as it gets.

Monitor Backlight

Your posture isn’t the only thing you want to watch out for at your desk. Eye strain can be a huge pain in the, well, eyes. Luminoodle makes very easy-to-apply LED strips that you can stick to the back of your monitor and plug into the USB port so that a subtle backlight shines behind the monitor. This will reduce eyestrain and it also looks really cool. The strips can also be cut to whatever length your monitor is.

Amazon Echo/Alexa

Before you call me ignorant for letting the FBI spy on my conversations that I’m not having in my bedroom, let me enlighten you. I have a Gen 1 Echo and love it. The Gen 2 is more aesthetically pleasing and once you give Alexa a chance, you’ll never want her to leave. I mostly use my Echo to ask the weather for certain dates and to read my audio books. Also, I’m pretty sure I’m turning into Joaquin Phoenix in the movie Her.
A Cool Toy

Lastly, add a toy to show some personality. My favorite desk toy is my Homer Buddha from Kidrobot. Whenever you’re feeling stressed out, just take a look at him sitting on his donut and holding his pretzel. It’ll cheer you up immediately! If you don’t like this one, Kidrobot offers hundreds of small vinyl figures spanning most of pop culture.
