Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. There are going to be a few options besides the PS4 and Xbox One specific versions, so we’re here to break it down for you.
Red Dead Redemption 2- $59.99
The game will obviously have a normally priced standard edition for both the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. However, if you pre-order your copy from Best Buy or GameStop, you will get the War Horse & Outlaw Survival Kit bonus content.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition- $79.99
For a small amount more than the Standard Edition, you can get the Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On top of the pre-order bonus content, the Special Edition also comes with a handful of exclusive story mode content. The bonus content includes a Bank Robbery Mission and Gang Hideout, Dappled Black Thorough Bread Racehorse, Medallion & Talisman bonuses, gameplay boosts, cash bonuses/discounts, the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger outfit and finally, access to three free additional weapons. Also included with the Special Edition is an awesome collector’s World Map of the game. Available at Best Buy and GameStop.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition- $99.99
The Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition features not only the pre-order bonus content (if you pre-order, of course), and not only the additional content and map from the Special Edition. On top of all that, the Ultimate Edition features more bonus outfits, the ability to customize your own personal online Camp with free access to the Survival theme, a Black Chestnut Thoroughbred Horse, ranking bonuses for online play, and even more free additional weapons. Whew. That’s a lot of stuff… However, it is the most costly of the three versions of the game, but you get a lot of added fun. Available at Best Buy and GameStop.
GameStop Exclusive Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector’s Box- SOLD OUT
In addition to the three versions of the game, GameStop also offered an exclusive Collector’s Box Set (game not included). This box featured tons of goodies and swag. Of course, this would only appeal to RDR die-hards since the actual game was sold separately. Sold Out on GameStop.
Which version are you likely to get? Don’t forget to pre-order to get the bonus content!
