Nintendo has the most interesting lineup of 2018!
E3 2018 is right around the corner! That’s right, the Electronics Entertainment Expo begins on June 12, 2018, and ends on June 14. All of our favorite gaming companies will be showing off what they have to offer and we are excited to see some very anticipated games.
Probably the most anticipated company to take the stage is Sony, who will be showing off some upcoming PS4 games. Here are our picks for the top games that are rumored to be talked about:
The Last of Us Part II
It’s hard to choose a favorite out of the three, but I have to say I’m most excited for Spider-Man. The footage looks amazing and it will be fun to play as Spider-Man in a similar way to Batman in the Arkham Series.
Coming in a close second would be Death Standing from Kojima Productions because it will be Hideo Kojima’s first independent production following his departure from Konami.
As much as I loved The Last of Us, I’m not too hyped on the sequel because I feel that the original story was enough. Unpopular Opinion!
Look, I’m not a very big Xbox fan as of late, but I do own an Xbox One. I feel that they are failing to keep up with the competition, but I’m sure die-hards will beg to differ.
That being said, the only potential draw for the Xbox presentation has to be the rumored Gears of War 5. It’s not been confirmed yet, however. Other than that, Xbox doesn’t really have any exclusive titles to get excited about.
Nintendo is having a great year following the success of the Nintendo Switch. I’m a huge fan and although the game library may be sparse, they have a few huge titles heading their way. Here are our picks for presentation highlights:
Mario Tennis Aces
Super Smash Bros. Switch
Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch
Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee
Metroid Prime 4 (Rumored)
I got to play the demo that Nintendo released for Mario Tennis Aces and loved every second of it. It’s intense, fun and has great gameplay! I cannot wait until the full release later this month.
Roller Coaster Tycoon is making its way to the Switch, giving you control over your own theme park. Maybe it’s the 90’s kid in me, but I loved the old game and you will too.
Lastly, Super Smash Bros. will be one of E3’s biggest highlights altogether. I skipped over the Wii U entirely so I was one of the people who missed out on Smash for the Wii U, so I’m pumped for this title.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Call of Duty Black Ops 4
Kingdom Hearts 3
Out of these top titles, I have to choose Kingdom Hearts 3 as my most anticipated pick of the show overall. I’ve been a fan since the beginning of the franchise and I’m excited to jump back into Sora’s giant shoes once again.
An obvious favorite is Red Dead Redemption 2. I’m surprised at myself for being hyped for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 4 because I fell off the franchise a few years back. I’ll admit that the biggest draw is the battle royale mode that is said to be included.
What are your most looking forward to at E3 2018?
