This one goes out to all my local peeps here in SoCal, and anyone else who goes deep in the rabbit hole of pop culture. If you’re from the Los Angeles area, or Southern California in general, then most likely you have heard of Kevin and Bean morning show on the World Famous KROQ. If not, there’s not much to learn. They’re a super popular morning radio show that specializes in corny, but funny humor.
The reason I bring the K&B Show is because a fan favorite, Ralph Garman, recently left the program in late November. Fast forward a month, and Ralph has a new endeavor ahead of him with a new podcast appropriately titled, The Ralph Report.
So why is this so important? Well, Ralph Garman was easily the K&B Show’s funniest and most relatable member. If you regularly tuned into K&B then you definitely heard Ralph’s Showbiz Beat every hour where he reported on the highlights in pop culture and showbiz news. Aside from the jokes and bits on the show, the Showbiz Beat was the listener’s chance to find out what’s going on in the world with a comedic take.
Now that Ralph is no longer part of the show (which is another story in itself), we now have the opportunity to have a whole show dedicated to Ralph’s reporting in the form of The Ralph Report.
Ralph will be bringing with him all the fan favorite bits that he carried while on the previous show, including his widely entertaining ‘Bachelor Report’, in which he recaps each episode of ABC’s The Bachelor in all its corny, ridiculously addicting glory. Ralph is also planning to feature some of his particularly noteworthy pals including Kevin Smith, Jimmy Kimmel, Dave Grohl and many more.
If you haven’t heard of Ralph, then you’ve definitely heard of his ‘Babble-Brother’, Kevin Smith, whom he co-hosts a hugely popular podcast with called Hollywood Babble-On. Hollywood Babble-On is recorded live from the Hollywood Improv on Melrose. The show focuses on everything in nerd-culture including but not limited to comic book movies, TV, celebrity deaths and very funny impressions done by Mr. Garman himself.
The Ralph Report officially debuted on January 22nd and will have daily episodes. The show is shaping up to be a very interesting and entertaining. Ralph has already seen an overwhelming rush of support from his fans who were outraged after his departure from the Kevin and Bean Show. You can help support the show and subscribe to the podcast at Patreon.
If you are undecided about spending the money to subscribe, don’t worry. The Ralph Report offers Free Mondays in which anyone can listen to Garman’s recap of the weekend.
You can can also subscribe to Hollywood Babble-On here if you want some free laughs.
So go on. Show Ralph Garman your support and tune in to The Ralph Report. I know I’ll be! Follow him on Twitter!
