If you’re looking for the best wireless bluetooth headphones your money can buy, then look no further. I’m something of an audiophile who loves to have the best sound in my ear, even if I don’t exactly need it. In fact, I probably have more headphones than I know what to do with. That being said, I’ve done a ton of research and have hands-on (ears-on?) experience with most headphones, and I want to give you my picks for…
The 6 Best Wireless Headphones for 2018
1. Beats by Dre- Solo3 Wireless Headphones
As much as I love Beats by Dre, the Solo3 wouldn’t by my first pick for wireless headphones. They’re nice to look at, sound great and all, but when I want something that’ll cost me a good chunk of money, I want something that not everyone is going to have.
Putting that aside, the Beats Solo3’s are top notch wireless headphones and look as good as they sound. Featuring Apple’s W1 Chip, they’ll pair to your iPhone in seconds! Not an iPhone user? No problem! They can pair the old fashioned way, the W1 Chip way is just a nice touch.
The Solo3 Wireless Headphones have up to 40 hours of battery life and with the fast-charge capability, you’ll get just about 3 hours of use with just a 5 minute charge!
The ear cups are adjustable to your comfort and the controls will let you skip songs, as well as control your phone’s smart assistant.
The Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones are a solid choice and probably the most popular bluetooth headphones right now.
2. Beats by Dre- BeatsX Wireless Earbuds
I recently wrote a post comparing the BeatsX to the PowerBeats3, and from my own personal opinion, the BeatsX are a much better choice for everyday use.
Unlike most wireless earbuds, the BeatsX unique design won’t leave the earbuds falling out of your ears due to the weight of the wires. The part of the cord that goes around your neck is extra thick and formed enough to take the pressure off the thinner cord connected directly to the earbuds.
The BeatsX Wireless Earbuds are simple, quality and don’t draw much attention to you like most bluetooth headphones out there. My favorite feature is the magnetic earbuds that will snap to each other when you have them dangling from your neck to form a sort of necklace securing them to your body. That way you won’t have to worry about dropping them when you’re not paying attention!
They’re probably on the top of the list in the looks department, offering a variety of color choices as well. They also feature the same W1 Chip and fast charging capabilities as the Solo3 Headphones!
3. Marshall MID Bluetooth Headphones
The Marshall MID Bluetooth Headphones are the real winner in overall looks in my opinion, AND they are one of the most inexpensive ones on this list! They have that vintage, leathery authentic look. These ones are a little bit more difficult to find, as most retailers usually only carry the Marshall Bluetooth Speakers.
Boasting 30 hours of playback on a full-charge, the Marshall MID Headphones can reach up to 30 feet away from your paired device. Perfect for wearing around the house while doing chores, or just walking dog while looking aesthetically pleasing.
One of the very cool features that the MID Bluetooth Headphones has is the ability to share music with your friends by plugging their wired headphones into the headphone jack located on the bottom of one of the ear cups.
Marshall sticks to their brand down to the wires. If you don’t want to wait for the headphones to charge, you can always opt to attach the cord and listen the old fashioned way. The wire features the awesome Marshall amp look with a brass trim.
4. Sony XB650BT Wireless Headphones
I’ve never been a fan of Sony headphones, but I know they have a huge following. That’s why I’m including the Sony XB650BT Wireless Headphones on this list. They look great, sound great and offer a wide range of colors.
Many people compare their audio capabilities to that of Beats, and some say it’s even better. You have to decide that one on your own!
I love the simplistic design, featuring perfectly round ear cups with sharp edges and the collapsable portability is an awesome touch. They also feature “Bass Booster” technology for that extra kick when listening to those heavy songs.
One of the best options on this list is also one of the most affordable too!

6. Apple Airpods
I’m usually a lover of Apple’s product designs, but the AirPods didn’t exactly do it for me. Every time I see someone wearing them in public I can’t help but think it looks like the original Apple EarPods after someone ripped the wires off. I get that’s the whole point, but I would’ve liked to see Apple come up with a new design.
That being said, I love the basic Apple EarPods and other than being Bluetooth enabled, the AirPods are not much different. They have great sound, great controls and they look nice.
They are pricey though, as Apple has been known to do with simple products. I’m not one to judge on how people spend their money, but if you have it, then go for it! I haven’t heard one person say a bad thing about the Apple AirPods and their reviews are great. I respect anyone brave enough to use a device so small without losing them!
6. JLab Rewind Wireless Retro Headphones
Okay, the JLab Rewind Wireless headphones are sort of a joke entry, but not really. They’re only $20 and look very cool! A major throwback for those of us who used to use a Walkman back in the day with those cushioned small headphones.
I can’t imagine the sound being that great, but they’re a great choice to have for the gym or just listening to a podcast at work. Plus, at that price, why not?
I know I’m going to grab a pair really soon just to have them and possibly use as my toss-around headphones.
