Look, we have to pay bills like adults, work like adults and act like adults. Why not look like adults? All respectable men should have a routine grooming regiment that they stick by. I’m making it easy for you by giving you the Best Men’s Grooming Products that won’t cost you much.
American Crew Fiber Molding Creme
American Crew is my favorite brand when it comes to men’s grooming. They offer a variety of shampoos and gels and they are all very quality products. My favorite product from them is the Fiber Molding Creme. Unlike forming creme and pomade, the Fiber is easy to work with and doesn’t leave your hair looking too shiny.
In fact, when you use the Fiber Molding Creme, it leaves your hair looking like it has nothing in it. That way you can still look like you didn’t try, but you know deep down that you really did!
Retailers like Target sell the American Crew Hair Cremes for almost $20 but you can get a much better deal online.
Pacino’s 2 in 1 Shampoo
I first became aware of the Pacino’s brand when I would look up men’s styles on Instagram. A lot of barbers use Pacino’s hair products such as their pomade and shaving gel. Target recently started carrying Pacino’s but at a higher cost than you can get it online.
The 2 in 1 Shampoo leaves your hair feeling minty fresh with both a shampooing and conditioning. Besides hydrating your hair, after every wash you will feel like you just left the barber shop! The scent is just an added bonus.
Dove Men + Care Face Lotion
Okay, I’m not one of those guys who suffers from toxic masculinity. I do not need to use products made specifically for men, but I swear by the Dove Men + Care Face Lotion.
One thing I do suffer from is annoyingly dry skin. Although I use regular lotion for my body, I couldn’t use it for my face because not only would it not work right, it left my face looking and feeling very oily.
I just about gave up when I saw the Dove Men + Care Face Lotion and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! It’s the only face lotion that is able to keep my face hydrated and not greasy. Plus, it lasts all day! I highly recommend this product.
Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotion
Speaking of lotion, this daily moisturizer by Lubriderm is as good as you’ll ever really need. It isn’t expensive, doesn’t have an overpowering scent, and it makes your skin feel nice and clean.
It’s best to use it after you shower. That way your skin won’t dry out as your body temperature lowers.
Dove Exfoliating Body Wash
Body washes should be basic. You don’t need an over the top kind like those offered by Axe or Old Spice. Basic body wash like Dove’s Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash will get the job done, and probably better than the other ones.
It’ll leave you with a nice clean scent that isn’t too exaggerated. Great for those with dry skin.
L’Oreal Men’s Charcoal Face Wash
Again, although this is one of those “For Men” products, that’s not why I like it. It’s just the only face wash that can get my face clean without leaving it shiny and greasy.
The charcoal leaves your skin feeling sort of rubbery but clear and it won’t dry it out. Just try not to get any on your clothes because once you start working it into your skin, the charcoal makes the suds very dark.
Curve by Liz Claiborne Cologne
No need to search high and low for a dependable signature scent. Curve by Liz Claiborne is the perfect cologne. It’s light and has a simple musky scent. Just don’t overdo it!
Don’t be one of those guys who you can smell from ten feet away. The trick is to spray one wrist, rub it on your other one, then another spray on your neck. Remember, even if you can’t smell it, that doesn’t mean it’s not working!
You only want it to be noticeable when someone is right next to you or if you’re passing by. There’s a reason it’s always the #1 selling cologne for guys!
Wahl Beard Trimmer | Stainless Steel
Look, we’re grown ass men. There’s no excuse to have our hair looking like a mop. Invest in a set of clippers to clean up your edges every once in a while.
This model is great quality, gets the job done and comes with attachments for different purposes. I usually use the foil razor when I’m too lazy to go through the full shaving process.
Alright, guys. This is your “Adult Man Starter Pack”. Clean yourself up. Smooth out those edges. Look like you know what you’re doing with your life even though none of us actually do!
