Why You Need to Pay Attention to George Ezra.
Sometimes an artist comes along who has an “old” sound and a timeless voice. George Ezra is one of those people. Today he released the third single, “Hey Pretty Shining People”, from his forthcoming record Staying At Tamara’s, and it’s an adorably charming, if not slightly uncomfortably karaoke-style video paired with a nice feel-good message for those of us struggling to make it through today’s world politics and personal struggles:
Why, what a terrible time to to be alive — hey, pretty shining people, we’re alright together.
Just watch the video, repeat that mantra, and feel good about whatever bright and shining moments you’ve had just recently.
No matter how entirely fucked up the world is (and oh man it is so fucked right now), maybe you just got a raise, or just made the best steak in all your life, or you’re gonna see that girl (or guy) you like shortly (I’m seeing her this weekend, in fact). Take the good with the bad, because it’s never as bad as you think. There’s always, always, always a light at the end of the tunnel, even in your darkest moments.
