Don’t look at me like I’m crazy. We all do it. It’s hard to remember a time when we had nothing to look at other than shampoo bottles and cleaning supplies in the restroom. Now we have smartphones that make using the restroom a time of relaxation rather than a time to awkwardly sit on the toilet.
These are the best games to pass the time while poopin’. Who cares if people wonder what’s taking you so long in there!
Flippy Knife
I covered this game on a previous post, but it is a well-deserved candidate as one of the games on this list. Whether you are planning on spending a good amount of time on the toilet or are just going to be a couple minutes, this game has got you covered. Simple game modes and an easy, straight forward goal. Throw the knives at the target and get points. The closer to the target, the more points you get (obviously). One of the most addicting modes in this game is the CLIMB. Pass the time tossing your knife choice from side to side between mountains and work your way up as far as you can go. Trust me, this game will get you hooked.

MARS
The goal of Mars is simple. Jump from platform to platform in near zero gravity without landing too hard. You are given an air-propelled jetpack that helps you move in your direction and soften your landings. I first tried this game while waiting at the Apple Store to get my iPhone 8 and I’ve been hooked since. Besides the super simple gameplay, they offer cool little bonuses such as many different playable characters. Some of my favorites are Bride of Frankenstein, Salvador Dali and Leonardo DaVinci. Whether you’re in the restroom or sitting on the train, this is guaranteed to pass the time.

STACK AR
If you too have spent possibly hundreds of dollars at your local McDonalds or arcade trying to win an iPod out of the Stacker machine, then you already know the basics to this game. There are two versions of this game: Basic Stack & Stack AR. Each are equally fun but Stack AR is cool in the sense that it is more interactive and allows you to stack blocks on “the floor you’re standing on”. Another perk to this app that the original arcade version does not have is the bonus of having more block added to your current one if you land enough perfect placements. But if you’re anything like me, it won’t matter because it won’t last long anyway.

SUPER MARIO RUN
This is the most well known of the apps on this list but is probably the most complicated. That’s not saying much though. Just make Mario jump over obstacles and collect as many coins as you can. Mario can perform a few different types of jump tricks and what makes me say this game is more “complicating” than the rest is that it has many modes and aspects to the story. There are side missions, Kingdom Building missions and general missions. The variety might make it last longer on your phone but if you’re looking for a more straight forward game that won’t make you think as much, then any of the other games on this list will suffice.

POKEMON GO
I know what you’re thinking- How can I play Pokemon Go while using the restroom? The reason I put this on the list is because there is much more to do in the game than walk (drive) around catching Pokemon. What I like to do is trash useless items to make room in my bag, transfer low level Pokemon to collect their candies and appraise certain Pokemon to determine which ones I want to evolve and/or power up. Sound like a dumb idea?
Don’t look at me like that. I’m sure most of you just catch Pokemon to get the 7-Day Streak bonuses and have a stockpile of random, low level Pokemon sitting around. Trade those suckers in! It’s worth it!
